The year's over.
Sure, there are technically a few more days to go, but let's be honest, we'll just spend them waiting for the next year to begin.

My Christmas shopping is officially complete.
The last item I bought showed up just minutes ago. Oddly enough, I was led to believe it wouldn't arrive until January.
Now, all that's left is to wonder what I got...

Something just occurred to me.
Christmas actually means more to me than when I attributed the gifts I got to Santa.

To hell with a white Christmas!
After slipping and falling in the street twice in one week, I've had my fill of snow and ice for the year.
I guess there's a reason they're calling it "climate change" these days and not "global warming".

My monitor just showed up.
Now I'm waiting for the keyboard. In a few more months I may even get a Chromebox.

75 years
That's how long it's been since the Pearl Harbor attack.
I was going to say more, but I have nothing to add.
I'll get back to you when I have something to say.

I just saw the new Ghostbusters movie.
It's not nearly as bad as some people make it out to be. That said, let them think what they want about it. If anything, letting gender politics take over the discussion is part of what hurt the movie's box office performance. Please, let's do better next time, all of us.

Thanksgiving is now over.
I never did see any part of the Thanksgiving parade, but yeah, Santa did make an appearance.
Now it's time to start planning for Christmas, although I won't be able to do any shopping until December 1.

It's Thanksgiving today.
I wonder if they'll have Santa at the parade, like they did a few years ago. (Seriously people, one holiday at a time, please.)

I have a bed now.
Or most of one - I don't have a bed frame yet. At least I won't have to re-inflate it all the damn time.

My other idea didn't work out either.
Unless I can come up with a new plan, I won't have that much spending money.

I thought I had a great idea.
Unfortunately, it seems a TV just wasn't meant to be a computer monitor.
Oh well, I tried.
Oh well, I tried.

I plan to post here more often.
And no, it won't be a New Year's resolution. Seriously, to quote Last Week Tonight, how is this still a thing?
But seriously, I will be making an effort to post more often, no less than once a week. As always, though, no promises.
If things work out like I hope, I might have a real bed again after over a year and a half. I've had to make do with an air mattress this whole time, and it's starting to get old. That said, I will make sure not to mishandle my finances the way I did years ago.
See you again soon.

I will not be getting the NES Classic Edition
i don't see the point, since there are other ways to play most of these games. Also, the inability to install more games on it limits its overall value. In short, this is an appeal to nostalgia and little else.
That's it for now.
That's it for now.

I may end up getting the Wii U after all.
It depends on how things go from here.
That's all I'll say for now.

The Cubs' curse is broken!
They've won the World Series for the first time in over a century. This is... okay, maybe not that big a deal. At least, not for me.
Also, I just had a lot more salad than I thought I was getting. Who knew such a small container could have so much in it?

Happy Halloween!
I may or may not get some candy for any trick-or-treaters who come by here. If they don't, it's not like it'll go to waste.

It rained really hard for over an hour.
It just stopped a few minutes ago, but I halfway expect it to start up again before the night is over.
Seriously, how did it so suddenly go from too hot to... well, this?

I just tried a type of pasta salad today.
It had vegetables, and a mix of sweet onion and sriracha sauces. I liked it, and I think I'll have it more often.

I saw the season premiere of The Walking Dead last night.
I'm not going to say anything about it for now, so that's it until next time.

Nintendo Switch
Just hours ago, Nintendo finally revealed its newest console. (It's actually surprising how fast I got used to not calling it the NX.) It won't be out until next March, though. On the upside, there's plenty of time for me to raise enough money to get the Switch early on.
It's official; like many others, I'm completely skipping the Wii U.

Stayed out later than expected.
I've been playing a role-playing game each week. Normally, I would've been home by the afternoon, but the game ran much later than normal. On the upside, I got a pizza out of this.

HOLY ****! A WHOLE YEAR WITHOUT POSTING!? THIS CANNOT STAND!
Anyway, now that I think about it, it seems the last three months (October through December) are essentially the "home stretch" of the year, with the main attention being on the three main holidays.
Also, once Christmas is done the year is pretty much over, and we just spend the last six days waiting for the next year to begin. Then, back to business as usual.
No, I don't have any real thoughts right now.
Like I said before, no promises that I'll post again anytime soon.
